Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Task AI mobile application. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Task AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The Service
Task AI is a personal task management application that uses artificial intelligence to help you plan, organize and reflect on your tasks. Features include task and subtask management, an AI chat assistant, image-based task analysis, recurring reminders, push notifications, group tasks and morning/evening briefings.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area, or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Accounts and Authentication
Authentication is provided through Google, Apple or one-time email codes via Supabase. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and the device on which you are signed in secure. You may not use another person's account without permission.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create in the App, including tasks, subtasks, chat messages, photos and group submissions ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, transmit and process User Content solely as necessary to operate, secure and improve the App and to send your content to the AI providers used by the App for the purpose of generating responses to your requests.
6. AI Output
The App uses third-party AI models (currently Google Gemini) to generate suggestions, summaries and chat replies. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for your situation. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it. The App is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise).
7. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers an optional paid subscription. Free accounts include a monthly quota of AI messages; once the quota is reached, AI features are disabled until the next billing cycle or until you subscribe. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and are managed through Superwall. Payment is charged to your platform account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings; we cannot issue refunds directly — please contact the relevant platform.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the App for unlawful purposes; (b) upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, harassing or that contains malware; (c) attempt to access other users' data; (d) reverse-engineer, decompile or scrape the App or its backend except to the extent permitted by law; (e) use the AI features to generate content that violates the policies of the underlying AI providers; (f) abuse, automate or attempt to circumvent the AI usage quota.
9. Groups
Group features let you share tasks and submissions with other users via invite codes. Content you submit to a group is visible to all members of that group. Do not share groups with anyone you do not trust with that content.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, source code, logos and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from the in-app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that risks harm to other users or to the service. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or that AI output will be accurate.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you have not paid anything, the equivalent of USD 50.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
15. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the App is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
